PLASTIC WELDING KITS
REPAIR TANKS, BINS AND OTHER ITEMS
A new series of plastic welding tool kits that can be configured by the user for
making specific types of repairs such as tanks, bins, liners and roofs is
available from Malcom Hot Air Systems of Tiverton, Rhode Island.
The Malcom Plastic Welding Kit features a compact 1600 Watt Leister Triac hot
air tool with adjustable temperatures from 70� to 1400� and variable air flow
to 8 CFM. The kit includes a 2 lb. Assortment of PVC, PP, PE, PC, LDPE, and
ABS welding rod and users can order specific types of welding tips and tools to build
their own custom kit, depending on their needs.
Packed into a handy tool box with a tray, the Malcom Plastic Welding Kit can
include such items as a speed welding tip, rotary burr for preparing grooves, side
cutters, pliers, a scraper and other tools. A plastic welding instruction booklet is
included and prepackaged kits are offered for repairing tote boxes, roofs,
tarpaulins, vehicles and other items.
